She was the oldest documented grizzly bear to reproduce in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Living in Grand Teton National Park for 28 years. 399 was an extraordinary grizzly bear and a exceptional mother to 18 cubs. In 2020, she emerged out of her den with quadruplets and 399 raised all four to be subadults! The drawing is a depiction of Grizzly 399's farewell to Pilgrim Creek looking back at a few of her descendents that will carry on her LEGACY!
